I provide tax and general business advice to commercial businesses, delivering value-added solutions to organizations, executives, and owners that enable them to optimize their tax position.

I specialize in advanced tax planning, structuring, compliance, ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes, state and local tax, and internationally active businesses.

I like to embrace, in Plante Moran lingo, the “trusted advisor” role to my clients. I enjoy partnering with large complex organizations and executive teams while always abiding by Plante Moran principles like “putting client interests before firm interests.” It’s not just my energetic nature that my clients appreciate, but they know I’m always striving to add value and provide exceptional client service.

I’m often asked to speak to clients, business owners, and other professional service firms on topics such as the impact of changing tax policy, tax and legal structure considerations, tax accounting methods, and a variety of other tax-planning matters. I’m a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the AICPA, and the MICPA. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University. A passionate Spartan, I’m active with the Michigan State University accounting and finance community.

I like to stay active and enjoy the fresh air outside of work. I enjoy hiking, biking, boating, golfing, and fishing.
