Matt joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 2005 and was elected shareholder in the Cleveland office in 2019. Matt’s audit and accounting experience is primarily focused on manufacturing, distribution, and service–based privately held companies.

Matt has experience with a variety of accounting services including audits, reviews, compilations, corporate taxation, and agreed-upon procedures projects. He also has experience in business valuations, and his responsibilities include consulting and advising with management on overall business issues and providing updates on recent accounting and reporting standards. Matt also specializes in auditing employee benefit plans including defined benefit, defined contribution, and health and welfare plans.

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Ohio Society of CPAs, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Matt graduated from John Carroll University in 2005 with his undergraduate degree in Accountancy and earned his Masters of Business Administration from John Carroll University in 2006.
