Elizabeth Powell joined Warren Averett after serving in the federal tax division of an international accounting firm. She now serves as a Principal in Warren Averett’s Tax Department. Elizabeth possesses extensive expertise in partnership taxation and a broad array of tax issues, with an emphasis on issues related to the Alternative Investment Industry. She provides tax services to Hedge Fund and Private Equity clients to meet compliance needs in the area of U.S. and international issues for both domestic and offshore funds. She oversees planning and delivery for large scale tax compliance engagements and investor reporting for alternative investment firms. She has significant experience with Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFICs), Foreign Corporations (Form 5471) and Foreign Partnerships (Form 8865) and Foreign Disregarded Entities (Form 8858).
