Bill joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 1980 and was elected shareholder in 1988. He has also been elected three times to the firm’s executive/management committee. Bill specializes in manufacturing, distribution and extractive industries. Bill is highly knowledgeable in dealing with accounting, tax and governmental challenges facing middle market companies and public and private reporting entities. Bill is an integral member of the client’s team and focuses on helping to improve their bottom line and providing the necessary working capital to ensure future expansion. He advises clients on a number of issues including:

  • Analysis and integration of corporate needs and goals with shareholder needs and goals
  • Procedures for structuring and operating partnerships and joint ventures
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Business valuations

Bill also has experience in the complex procedure of “going public.” He takes a hands-on approach to the intense process of becoming a public company, advising clients on a wide range of subjects. Generally this includes serving as the intermediary with the SEC, assisting in the development of the registration statement, and working with investment bankers, attorneys and other advisors throughout the process.

Bill is a frequent presenter at seminars and has had published numerous articles on accounting, tax and reporting issues facing middle market public and private manufacturing and energy companies.

A 1979 graduate of John Carroll University, Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honorary, Alpha Sigma Nu Scholarship Honorary, and The Ohio Oil & Gas Association.
